Scrolling speed may now be adjusted for all situations and any type of Mac. If your G3 or G4 Mac scrolls too fast, Smart Scroll may be the fix you need.

Smart Scroll enhances scrollbars with the following features:

  • Proportional Thumbs: The size of the thumb relative to the scrollbar shows how much of a document is displayed in a window and are sized to match the part of the document that is visible in the window.
  • Live Scrolling updates the display as you drag the scrollbar thumb.
  • Scrolling Speed Control lets you select a comfortable scrolling speed in all situations and for all Mac models.

New in Smart Scroll 3.7:

  • All new scrolling control engine for improved smoothness.
  • Scrolling speed control for WordPerfect, QuarkXpress and CopyDesk.
  • Long delay fixed while opening some windows in PowerMail and a few other applications.
  • Miscellaneous changes and fixes were made.
New in version 3.7.1: Supports Mac OS 9.1; runs under Mac OS X's Classic environment; miscellaneous changes and fixes.

For more detailed information, including on updates, please read the documentation or visit the home page.

Note

System requirements: This control panel works on any Mac introduced since 1990, running System 7.0 through Mac OS 9.0.4. To install, just drag the Smart Scroll control panel to your Control Panels folder (inside the System Folder) and restart.
